OPUS International was founded in 1993 by Moira McGrath, whose career has been defined by a deep understanding of service-driven industries and the talent that powers them.
A graduate of the School of Hotel Administration at Cornell University, Moira began her career in hotel and restaurant operations, holding leadership roles in markets including Atlanta, San Francisco, and Ohio. After relocating to Florida, Moira transitioned into executive search—quickly identifying an opportunity to bring a more specialized, relationship-driven approach to talent acquisition within the food science and broader consumer industries. Under her leadership, OPUS International has become a trusted partner to companies seeking high-impact talent across R&D, quality, operations, and commercial functions. Moira remains deeply connected to the industry, having served on advisory councils for leading institutions including Cornell University, the University of California, Davis, the University of Florida, and Virginia Tech. She is also an active member of the Institute of Food Technologists (IFT), where she has served on the Board of Directors, the Nominations and Elections Committee, and currently contributes to the Certified Food Scientist Committee. |
