Moira McGrath
President
Moira McGrath is president of OPUS International, Inc., the company she founded in 1993 in response to the Food Science industry’s growing demand for highly specialized, professional executive placement assistance. Following graduation from Cornell University in Hotel Administration, she started her career in the hospitality industry, but quickly realized that executive search was her calling.
In related volunteer activities, Moira is currently serving on the Advisory Councils for both Cornell’s Food Science Department and University of Florida. She is also serving on the Nominations and Elections Committee for the Institute of Food Technologists, and is the current Chair of AMSPAC, the scientific programming committee for IFT’s 2011 Annual Meeting and Conference. She has also served on the Board of Directors for the IFT, as well as several IFT task forces including the Task Force on Strategic Development. In South Florida, she has been involved with the local IFT Section since 1996.
Moira is a past member of Toastmasters International in Delray Beach, Florida, and the founder of “In Search Of”, a local organization of executive recruiters. She was also a contributing author of "Careers in Food Science”, published in 2008.
