Project Manager
Innovative food manufacturer for the retail and foodservice markets is seeking a "hands on" Project Leader for their new product development and technical service project activities. The Company welcomes challenges and responds with a "bring it on" attitude. This position is located at their facility in the Upper Midwest.

POSITION SUMMARY:
ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
- “Hands on” Leadership of new product development and technical service project activities for our company. Lead and participate as member of new product development teams.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Provide management of new product development projects (concept through commercialization) within required timelines and specifications.
- Maintain and update all project-related data and effectively communicate project progress to product development teams.
- Collaborate with and provide technical leadership / support to Sales, Marketing, Engineering, Purchasing, Production, and Quality Assurance concerning new product development and product maintenance.
- Participate in the development of improvements in existing products and processes.
- Present innovative concepts and products for internal / external accounts on an ongoing basis.
- Coordinate and train internal employees on procedures to support the launch of new and current products.
- Solicit information regarding future product requirements to collectively address new opportunities.
- Perform other duties of similar nature or level.
- Bachelor's Degree in Food Science or related degree and 3-5 years experience performing similar work in the food industry or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job.
- Knowledge in food science, nutrition, labeling regulations, ingredients functionality and food processing.
- Project planning and management skills. Ability to manage technical staff and coordinate project work of associates on product development team.
- Strong computer skills, excellent written and verbal communication skills and good interpersonal abilities.
- Ability to carry out management responsibilities in accordance with company policies; including training, planning, assigning and directing tasks.
- Ability to think independently and quickly to resolve issues.
- Ability to speak, read & write in English and Spanish is required; French preferred as well.
- Ability to travel abroad.
