Manager, Technical Services

Leading manufacturer of organic and all-natural dairy products is seeking a Manager of Technical Services for their New England facility.

JOB SUMMARY

 

Responsible for identifying opportunities to improve product quality and developing and implementing technical initiatives and specifications in the client's and co-packer manufacturing plants by working with Corporate QA, Plant QC and Manufacturing teams.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  •          Lead, support and collaborate with Industrial, R&D, Quality and other operational disciplines in trouble shooting of any product, process, quality or any technical related issues.
  •          Establish process specifications for all new and/or improved products and work with plant Quality Control to ensure the product specifications deliver the designed product in full scale processing.
  •          Work with Product Development managers to provide technical input during the design phase of the product development process, resulting in the seamless transition of projects from development to implementation.
  •          R&D lead, working with Corporate QA, to establish quality systems and programs designed to track and evaluate finished production to include organoleptic, physical, chemical, and microbiological attributes.
  •          Participate as a team member with Corporate Quality and R&D departments in the research and implementation of “processing flow specifications” and “process improvements” for current and new products and plant manufacturing systems.
  •          Analyze consumer complaints and any other product quality data to identify product quality trends and work with Corporate QA and operational disciplines to develop action plans to address and resolve product design and execution issues.
  •          Identify and evaluate new ingredients, cultures and/or technologies that result in product quality improvements and conduct testing to implement these new materials or technologies in manufacturing.
  •          Interfaces with senior management concerning technical services functions and programs. Provides training to corporate and plant personnel.
  •          Interface with all levels of management both at corporate and plant environments.
  •          Report daily to the Director of R&D and Technical Services on the current status of any issues related to product design and execution.
  •          Provide support and information to any department:  Marketing, Logistics, QC and Corporate QA, Finance, Purchasing.
  •          Maintain a safe work environment.

    MUST be authorized to work in the United States on a permanent basis.
